Skincare Chronicles: L'Occitane Shea Butter Collection

As much as I love fashion, sometimes I like to switch gears a bit. Today I want to touch on my favorite accessory which is my skin. For me taking care of my skin is more important than the clothes that I wear. I try to take care of my skin by drinking lots of water, exfoliation, and moisturizing. With it getting colder now, it was important for me to switch my routine for the upcoming winter months. Shea butter and my skin go hand and hand, I always try to use products which contain shea butter as an ingredient. Shea butter is made from shea tree nuts, and is rich in vitamin A, E, F & fatty acids which are extremely nourishing & moistirzing on the skin.

One of my favorite skin care lines for several years has been L'Occitane dating back to my first purchase of their infamous hand cream, which is now a staple I always keep in my purse. I love L'occitane's dedication to quality & natural ingredients, so I knew their  Shea Butter Collection was exactly what I needed plus the collection ranges from body creams to shower oils. For the fall I am using the Ultra light body cream which has a light yet moisturizing consistency, it is based with 5% shea butter and leaves my skin feeling moisturized hours later. On colder days I switch to the Shea Rich Body Lotion, which  consists of 15% shea butter but not too heavy and neither of these left me feeling greasy but I definitely felt moisturized. While my skin can tend to get on the dryer side, I know I will need something heavier for the harsh New York City winter, so I plan on using the Ultra Rich Body Cream which provides a more intense moisture with a consistency based of 25% shea butter.

To compliment my lotions/creams, I have the shea butter fabulous oil, & body shower oil for added moisture. I also have the shea butter hand cream, that I keep in my purse when i'm on the go. For anyone looking for a new skin care regimen, I totally suggest you give these products a try.  Product details below!
