How i’m protecting my hair during festival season

Spring is here…Finally! That means warmer weather, longer days and festival season. Unfortunately, I can’t make it to Coachella, but there are some great festivals in NY coming up that I’m looking forward to attending.

What I love about festival season is putting together the fun/quirky outfits and hairstyles, I’m talking rocker tees, flower crowns and beach waves, but that can result in substantial heat damage. That’s why I’m focused on taking better care of my hair this season. It’s bad enough we’re out in the sun all day listening to some of our favorite artists but I also use a lot of styling tools (curling wands, flat iron, blow dryer) to achieve my looks. Plus, I dye my hair black regularly, the downside of that in addition to the heat damage is dull, dry and brittle hair. This is why I love Pantene’s Intense Rescue Shots. These mini treatments are like magic in a tube, they are a mix of Pro-Vitamin B5, strengthening lipids, and natural glycerin which target the damaged areas effectively and are imported from Brazil. It’s also the #1 selling new treatment item in the haircare category! I’ve been using Pantene products dating back to my childhood (many moons ago lol), and I use their Gold Series Collection for afro texture hair routinely so it’s definitely a brand I trust and know I can rely on.

I wanted to put these Shots to the test, so I first shampooed my hair with Pantene’s Gold Series Moisture Boost Shampoo and once that was fully rinsed, I applied the Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots  treatment from root to tip instead of conditioner and let that sink in for 30 seconds then I rinsed for 30 seconds. Even while my hair was still damp I could feel the difference in texture and once dry, the nourishment from the treatment left my hair extremely soft and shiny and it didn’t leave any residue or weigh my hair down. Where I especially noticed the difference was while styling my hair, my curling wand glided swiftly through the smoother texture and my waves were considerably bouncier. These are the kind of results I normally receive from an upscale salon. For me, the sign of a good product is when you see immediate results after the first use. The treatments come in a box of three, with each tube being 1 full treatment.

Now my hair is more resilient and I’m prepared for festival season. I can bask in the sun and live my best life, dancing the day away knowing that I don’t have any worries about further damage post-festivals…bring on the beach waves! Pantene is the official haircare sponsor of Coachella, Stagecoach and Firefly this year but whatever festival you’re going to, this treatment will save your hair after your festival fun.  How do you guys normally treat your hair? Have you tried the Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots? They’re available at Kroger! Comment below!

We often take care of skin but neglect our hair. Thanks for sharing your hair routine.
